Why can my Sony DVD Player Play Certain Burned Movies?

Q. I have a Sony CD/DVD Player Model DVP NS71HP. My question is I know Sony's Encryption Code is very high for not playing Pirated Movies. But how come it can play Wedding DVD's that my Cousins send me or DVD Movies about their vacation? But if its a Movie I made with Nero or DVD Shrink it won't work? And its not even done by some professional Cameraman, he just did it in his Computer. Maybe I should ask him what software does he use?

Answer
Your DVD that you are trying to burn could have copyright protection, so your dvd player wont read it. It will probally work in a unlocked dvd player if so its because of your dvd..
hope it helped

if i burn a movie onto a normal cd can i play it in a dvd player?

I purchased a movie online and want to burn it to a cd, will i be able to play it in a dvd player if it's just a normal cd?

Answer
If you wanna make a DVD that will work on a standard DVD player, you will need a DVD burning tool to do this. Just copy the movie to a DVD disc, it will actually not read by DVD players.

The best and most reliable DVD burning tool that I've ever used is a tool called DVD Creator. It's able to burn all kinds of videos to DVD disc. After that, you can view the DVD on DVD player. It also lets you edit videos and create DVD menus. Easy to use and professional.

You should really give it a try. You may check out at:

Best of luck.
