Alright, i'll try to explain this the best that i can.
Going back to 5th grade -->
Me and this dude (Brian) were best friends all our life. I mean, he was totally like my brother. His uncle and my dad were best friends growing up, so we were with each other a lot and he just lives like a mile down my road so he rode my bus. While we were on there we would always eat cookies and watch movies on his portable dvd player. At about the middle of the year some of the younger kids accused us of dating (ya know, the kid stuff. Oh and i forgot to mention that he's a year older than me so he was in 6th grade) so then he quit sitting with me and really even talking to me. That was the last time i hung out with him.

8th grade for me 9th for him--
Now we go to the same high school (yes my high school has 8th grade) and i see him a lot. He's a big athlete and is in love with football. The only sport i like is football, so of course i joined the powder-puff team. See, powder puff practice was right after the guys' practice, and he was always there afterward cause his uncle was the coach of the team. Here's the first weird thing that happened, while we were practicing some of the guys would stay after their practice to help us out. We were practicing areas and he chose to be in my area. (his gf plays so shouldn't he have went in her area on the other side of the field?) I just found that to be a little weird. -----
And now, just a while back ago i was going up to class and had a bunch of books in my hands. He was going to the same floor i was so he held the door open for me. I said thanks (naturally) then he said my name all weird so i said yes cause it sounded like he was wanting to talk with me. I figured he was going to ask something about his gf (cause she has a lot of classes with me) but instead he asked me why i never talk to him anymore. he told me to walk to his house sometime and that we should start talking more. So here's my questions---
-Why would he just stop talking to me for 2 years then start talking again? Do you think he was embarrassed of me? (cause see, i used to dress like a dude. I was a total tomboy and had no girl in my what so ever. Now i still have my tomboy mind but i'm a scene kid and dress so much better.) That's sorta what i think. I've asked friends what they think it is but never get a straight answer.
-And it's not that i don't want him to be my best friend anymore, cause i really do. During those 2 years i missed him like crap actually, but now i feel all awkward talking to him. So, if he wants to talk more should i go up, or should i wait for him tot alk to me again? He's with his gf most of the time during the morning but we still ride the bus together. And i feel kinda weird going up to him randomly cause i'm afraid he's still embarrassed of me. I mean, especially around his friends. They're all jocks and muscular and now Brian's bff's with a 8th grade scene girl, if you were a guy would you be embarrassed?
I'm really sorry, but i just need some opinions on this. It's sorta been weighing on my mind so i thought i should just ask for the heck of it. Ya know, just to get a stranger's opinion. Thanks for everyone's answers! Please don't be mean though! >.< xoxo

One day i wanted to just change it up a bit and i wore a graphic off-the-shoulder top with ripped AE jeans and Ed Hardy converse and that was the day he confronted me in the hall. Weird? try talk to him when hes alone, maybe he wants to be friends again. you should test the situation, come into school wearing something girly, or whatever is popular these days, and see if he's any different. i'm sure it's not about the clothes. i was friends with this guy and when everyone said we were dating, i stopped being friends with him coz i didn't want to give him or other people the wrong impression. and then i missed him, and couldn't help talking to him again. so yah no. but test out the clothes thing. when you say scene, you mean gothic? or rocker? yeah, just wear anything along the lines of:

but go for it, and try being friends with him again if you want
seems like a nice guy, but don't read too much into things. we all want to view things in our favor but not as how they actually appear, i've been there before
