I'm trying to make a DVD slideshow that will work on a Mac, Windows PC and any DVD player. I'm using iDVD at the moment and for some reason it won't play on my windows PC. Very anoying. What format are bought DVD movies in and is there a program for Mac that I can make a professional DVD on?

I am watching a film using the DVD Player application on Mountain Lion and I cant seem to get rid of the grey controller.

Move mouse pointer away from the controller or
DVD Player > Window menu > Hide Controller (or Alt Command C)
