Soooo, want to hook up my new sony blu ray/dvd player to netflix. It seems I need a wireless adapter. They run from 8-80 dollars. my question is, do I need a fancy one, or is any old usb wireless lan adapter going to work?
Answer
You need to buy one from Sony since it is a Sony Blu-Ray player. That is how they make their money. Otherwise you can always use a ethernet cable from your wireless router to the back of your blu-ray dvd player to stream Netflix which you won't need to buy a wireless adaptor.

Is there a regular DVD player (not blu ray) that steaks Netflix?

I know people say just get blu ray. But I am curious as to was there ever a reg DVD player that had Netflix streaming...
Answer
I don't believe so. I've never seen one. The reason is because there's no reason to get one. There are internet ready bluray players under $100 now. Plus they play regular DVD's so there's no need for internet ready DVD players. There's no market for them
