A dvd player with usb port?

Q. I'd like to know if there are dvd players with usb port (when you can connect your usb flash, etc.).
I know this may seem like a stupid question, but I'm new at these things and planning to buy a dvd player.

Q. I have a HD ready tv and a hdmi dvd player with a usb socket on it. If i downloaded a HD video put it on a usb flash drive would i get a HD picture thru my tv?

Depends on the player. I have a Philips HDMI upscale DVD player with a USB port. If I save .avi or .mpg files on the flash drive, the DVD player will play them in HD. BUT, the big problem is the speed that the DVD player can read the flash drive though the USB port. If it's a USB2, then maybe. I tried playing a VERY high bitrate file from the flash drive, and the picture/sound kept sputtering...
