best travel dvd player kids image

I have to travel from Texas back home to the New Zealand. I plan to take a portable dvd player to watch movies. Any suggestions on great movies that I should take along? I like it all so there is no specific with regard to gendre. Please list the name and what it is about and why you like/recommend it. Thanks friends.
Uh, Ms. Twighlight Zone, Twighlight is not out on DVD yet, love. I'm referring to DVDs to rent.

The Little Mermaid. It's such a classic and always makes me cry when I watch it. I can really relate to Ariel also. I know it's more of a kid's movie, but I love it!!!

What to pack for a first time airplane flight with my kids?

We are traveling across country. kids range in age from early grade school to middle school. Any suggestions to make our first plane ride memorable and entertaining?

If you can manage to avoid making the trip memorable for your fellow passangers, it is already a great deal. Kids are bored on planes, food is yucky to most of them, and sitting is paralizing, in particular for kids of the age you mentions. Plane rides of more than 4 hours long are just a pain.
If your kids like to read, that's great, take books. Otherwise, PSPs, Nintendos, anything that will help them while away boring time. Don't count too much on movies on board, they aren't that good, and from back seats most of the time you get only a glimpse... If you have a DVD player, take it along, with a couple of decent new DVD (its worth the investment). Warn ahead the big kids that slipping and mis-behaviour will not be tolerated - boys are sometimes trickier, because they love jumping around and are used to more sports during the day, immobility is very taxing.
