When you say 'play video games' do you mean hook up a game system and display it on the dvd player screeen? If so, the the answer is maybe. It can IF the portable dvd player has video INPUT. Almost all of them have video OUTPUTS but only a few have video INPUTS. So if your Panasonic portable DVD player has video input then yes you can hook up a game system and display it on the screen.

However if you mean take a video game disk and put it in the player and play the game - only if the player supports that and I don't know of any that does.

Q. Has anybody every bought a Audiovox 9" portable DVD player? I am looking in to purchasing a portable DVD player for my son so he can stay occupied while on a trip. I found a good deal for audiovox 9" but I am not sure how the quality is. So if anybody knows anything about these or which would be a better portable dvd player that I can attach to the headrest please let me know!

We have this same one -- got it at Costco for a long trip. Works great, with a nice big screen. The protective case is a bit hard to deal with, but the player is great. It also lets you plug in a camera to view pictures. I recommend it.
