My DVD player has a USB port. If I want to watch HQ videos 1.4gb for ~120 minutes then how fast does my stick need to be to make sure the video runs smoothly?
Answer
Normally, every USB stick can be used to play movies on DVD player. You don't need to worry about this. Just insert the usb into your DVD player and play it.

Can a DVD player with a USB port catch virus?
coolmike
Was planning to purchase one such DVD and was curious about the possibility of such a player catching virus. Will appreciate your knowledge on this subject.
For example if you were to plug in a flash disk that is infected by a virus, could such have an effect on the DVD player? Will appreciate your kind input.
Answer
no, since the dvd player only reads specifically and recognizes dvd formats.if there is a virus in the usb it will still remain there but it wont harm your dvd player since it cant execute its running script.
