Can a portable DVD player and a Mac computer play Blu-Ray?

So, I got the underworld trilogy for my birthday yesterday and my friends and i want to have a marathon, well my family hogs the tv, so my questions are:
Would a portable DVD player be able to play blu-ray DVD's?
What about a Mac computer?
