My dvd player on my laptop worked for a little while then just stopped. I am computer stupid and have no idea why. Anyone have any suggestions?

I want to somehow hook up my Wii so the monitor or the screen on which I see it on is either my portable DVD player or my laptop. It doesn't HAVE to be sound but hopefully there is. Is there any way? If Yes, please help.

yes there is, get something like this http://www.amazon.com/AV-Multi-Input-Output-Selector/dp/B000JCS9R0/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1247000158&sr=8-4, at your local walmart/big lots, connect the cable that came with your portable dvd player to the output, connect your wii cable to the input, and select video input on your portable dvd player
