My DVD player on my PC has stpped working and if I put a disc in it makes a WIERD kind of noise. I watch 3 to 4 movies on it a day. Is it cuz of that? What can I do to stop it? help please
Answer
It's possible. Every product has a certain lifespan and if you use it a lot, it may break. If you have a desktop computer, replacing the disk drive is pretty inexpensive. If you have a friend that can do it for free, the drive wont cost much more than $30. If you have a laptop computer, it is a little trickier and costs more. If your computer is still under warranty, I would check into it. If it's making a weird grinding noise, then your drive is probably broken.

The question pretty much describes it... I have a Music CD with lots of great music on it. The problem is, a small portion of the "silver stuff" is ripped off. However, the CD Plays perfectly in the DVD player. But my PC doesn't recognize it at all, so I can't rip the songs off of the disc. Any ideas on how I can get the songs off of the CD?
Answer
Find a computer with a DVD player. Test other CDs on your computer to make sure it's not your player? Also, did you burn it/have someone burn it, or did you buy it. If you bought a CD you should go to piratebay.com and download a backup of it from there.
