Can you hook up independent, portable dvd players to show one movie on both?

Looked at getting a dual screen set, but we already have a decent single so thought we would just get another single. Mine has both an AV input and AV output plugs. If I buy a connector cable, will I be able to play one movie for both to view? I'm putting this here in hopes that that other parents may have already tried this for road trips...

I tried this with mine and could not do it. But go talk to someone at Best Buy or Radio Shack and they can tell you.

the sharper image makes a lot of portable DVD players, athough they are more expensive then other stores. I would try Target, Best Buy or CIrcut City. I know that Samsung is not very good, nor GoVideo.. i had both of these and they did not work well. Sony makes good electrionic... but i do not know if they currently have a portable DVD player on sale.
