I have a new portable DVD player, a Sony DVP-FX820. I want to connect it to a DVD projector to show old black-and-white movies on the big screen. What kind of cable connector do I need to fit into the DVD player? What kind of (relatively) inexpensive DVD projectors would be compatible with the portable DVD player and give value for money? Thanks very much!

well what you could do is buy a another dvd player and take the rca cables out and send it back to the store you brought it from and say the rca cables are missing. The the connectors you need. they usually red on one side and white on the other some come in red green and blue. thats right three instead of two

My laptop does not have an optical drive (DVD or CD-ROM). If I can buy an external DVD drive that also is a DVD player with LCD screen, I will be able to kill two birds with one stone. Of course, it would not be economically sensible if such a device costs more than a DVD-ROM and DVD player combined.

No,You have to buy one,i recommend a HP USB CD DRIVE!
