Nero 9 is asking me to burn movies in PAL format or NTSC?? which one should i use....?

i am trying to burn this movie that i have on my computer and Nero 9 is telling me that most of the parts are in PAL format but i can use NTSC .....something ... so which format are the movie DVD's usually.

China (excluding Hong Kong), India, Pakistan and other countries use PAL standard, the United States, Japan, China Taiwan, South Korea, use NTSC,but I think it depend on where you live ,nero is good at burning data dvd ,so if you want to burn any movies to dvd and can play well on regular dvd player ,you can try RZ DVD Creator ,now i am using it ,i think its better than nero , it can directly convert any movies(all formats) to standard video DVD and burn to any DVD disc(DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, etc), and the burned DVD can be played well on home DVD player. You can yahoo or google search and download RZ DVD Creator, work well, most functionality, easy to use, hope it can help you !

If you burn a disc in a another country(Pakistan),and if you bring it home can it work on a dvd player,or comp?

For Example if i burn a disc in Pakistan,and bring it home to United States,would it still be working on any computer or DVD player.if not tell me which computer or DVD player can it work.thanks

It depends if it is NTSC or PAL encoded. Region has no bearing, since home burned DVDs usually cannot be region coded.

Some North Amercian players can play PAL fine, some simply won't. It tends to be the off-brand "import" players than can play PAL, rather than the major Japanese or S.Korean brands.

Yes sure on a dvd player but you computer might not have the required CODEC in which case you will need to download one online.

i brought my home theater from pakistan to canada with the video and audio cables, the audio is fine when i play any dvd but the video is moving constantly and it is abt 11 months old the home theatre

Get a different DVD player, one that can be used on Canadian TV set...

OR....get a Pakistan TV set, one that will display the Pakistan DVD player perfectly....

You can order it there. They will ship internationally, although it might be expensive.

Make sure your dvd player will play region 1 dvds before you order it. Search other places online, maybe you can find it somewhere else.

I wanted to convert an AVI movie to a format which could be played on a DVD player. Which format is the best?


Some of the choices are DVD-format - SECAM (*.vob), DVD-format - PAL (*.vob), DVD-format - NTSC (*.vob), MPEG-2- NTSC, MPEG-2- PAL, MPEG-2- SECAM.

so where do you live? just pick up one of you normal dvd cases and see what format it say's on the back it will either be PAL, SECAM of NTSC then go with that, some recoders let you choose region free which should work in any dvd player in any country.

Since you will be playing it on various players and computers in Pakistan, I strongly recommend that you have a copy in the original NTSC and also that you make at least one copy in PAL format. Odds are very likely that the NTSC format will be a problem most of the time in a PAL region. I do have one player that can play any DVD from anywhere in the world on any TV or monitor, but that's a rather exceptional player. I just wish it could read DVD audio and super audio CD. Incidentally, that player is a Wiwa which might be available to you in Pakistan. Goodness knows that you would never find such a fabulous dirt-cheap player in the west.

It was obvious that obamas administration was completely anti-british and now the media here are anti-obama. it has already had an impact on relations with the two countries with british oil giants bp and shell reducing operation with the USA which is making fuel more expensive in the USA
