DVD players ???

Ben A

Hi, If I purchase a dvd player that plays divx does this mean that this player will play .avi files ?? It is so much quicker to burn a downloaded avi to a dvd+r rather than having to convert the avi to dvd and then burn it, and I was just looking to save time by finding a player that will play avi's.

Thanks

Answer
Many DVD players out there claim playing divx, however they don't always work.
The standard format is the .Vob/.Ifo - MPEG2 format, the files you have now are in AVI format..

I would recommend you download ConvertXtoDVD. Ive been using it for a year now, never had a problem!

It will convert your video files to the dvd format readable by all standard dvd players, then burn automatically to DVD.

it is easy to use, fast and it works perfect for me.. give it a try, you'll love it

1. Download ConvertXtoDVD here:
http://www.burner-software.com/AVI-to-DVD-Converter/AVI-DivX-XVid-to-DVD.php?exact=ConvertXtoDVD3

It can convert any video file.. like wmv, mpeg, asf, mp4, avi to dvd

2. Add or drag-n-drop as many video files as the DVD can handle

3. Insert blank DVD

4. Click "Convert"

5. Enjoy watching those video files on your home DVD player! =)

ConvertXtoDVD has a lot of extra nice features too,
for example you can make your own ANIMATED DVD menu or auto-generate it, add subtitles, auto-burn to dvd or save your conversion.

about home entertainment dvd player?

can an .avifyletype be recognize on the dvd player?

Answer
Most regular DVD player only recognize standard video DVD which should include VOB, IFO and BUP files, can't recognize the avi file, if your dvd player is regular DVD player, you should use right software to make a standard video DVD from your avi file.

Some Xvid or Divx Certified DVD player can play Xvid or Divx avi file well, so if your DVD player is Divx or Xvid Certified DVD player, you can convert any types of files to Xvid or Divx AVI files, then play well on your DVD player.

Convert any types video files to Standard video DVD/Divx AVI files/Xvid AVI files, there is an easy way, you can try RZ DVD Creator, it can directly convert any types video files to Standard video DVD or Xvid/Divx AVI file, and can directly burn to any DVD disc(DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, etc), the burned DVD can be played well on corresponding DVD player. You can yahoo or google search RZ DVD Creator and download it, easy to use, good quality, hope it can help you.
