How do I convert and burn a video to a DVD so that I can play it in DVD players?

Yahoo User

I would want to burn movies I have in my computer (mostly AVI files) in an empty DVD so that I can watch it in my car's DVD player. What do I have to do so that any DVD player can play the video I burned to the DVD? Do I have to convert the AVI video to some other format first? How do I burn it to the empty DVD afterwards? If possible, I would want a program which can convert/burn without leaving a watermark. Thanks for the help. Sorry if my question is kind of long, I'm not very good with technology.

How To Burn a VIDEO_TS Folder To DVD For It To Play On DVD Players?

I have a movie on my hard drive, which is a 7gb file. It is contained in a VIDEO_TS folder in several different files of VOB and others. I've burnt it to an 8.5gb DVD and it works on my laptop, but not in my Xbox 360 or other DVD players. How can I do this so it will play in other DVD players, I have plenty of discs and am willing to download software. All help is much appreciated.

Answer
Most dvd players only recognize standard video DVD well which include VOB, IFO and BUP files, and all files be placed in a VIDEO_TS folder, so you can directly burn the VIDEO_TS folder to your DVD disc as a standard video DVD, and you should note once burn complete, your burner software must close the dvd disc, can't use incremental burn mode. There is an easy way can help you, you can try RZ Free DVD Burner, it's free, it can directly burn hard drive video DVD folder(VIDEO_TS) to any DVD disc that can play well on DVD player, easy run rz free dvd burner then select "Burn video" to burn. You can yahoo or google search and download the RZ Free DVD Burner, it's free, easy to use, hope it can help you.
