I am looking into buy a dvd player to put into my car. I was just wondering how to install it or about how much would it cost to install it? And where is the cheapest place to get 1?

I have a Philips surround system and the dvd player just went out. The speakers still work, so I want to know if I can only buy the dvd player? Or will I have to buy the whole entertainment system again?

It depends on how much connectivity your system has. If it has some sort of digital audio INPUT connection - either optical or coaxial then yes you can hook up a DVD player to it. You need the digital audio input connection in order to get surround sound. If it does not - and many cheaper units do not then you would have to buy the whole thing again. Which is why a lot of people recommend NOT buying these all in one units.
