How do I fix the play button on my portable DVD player?

I was using my portable DVD player, and the play button just stopped working. It is not the greatest DVD player, but I really need to fix this ASAP. Please help me. The best answer will get 10 points! And please don't say go to a professional and get it fixed. I don't have that much money, and I really need to fix this.

The only way to fix this yourself is if the player came with a remote control. Use the remote instead of the button. If you've lost the remote, you can try using a universal remote.

No point in taking it to the shop, since a new one is probably about the same price as a repair shop.

the biggest will be in the 12' widescreen but I'm a fan of the 10.2' because it's a perfect size to carry around with you but still give you the best picture. The 8.5' is a good value as well... I'll give you a couple links to check out below for cheap but very good portable dvd players. Good luck.
