best portable dvd player 9 image
Alice Hart
I'm about to go on a road trip with three year old and can't find the charger for his portable DVD player. I found a couple of different chargers that do fit in the device (I haven't tried them plugged in) for example the Swiffer sweeper-vac and his baby monitors. I don't know much about electronics and I don't know if it will ruin it being charged by a charger that isn't FOR it?
Is there anything I can do?
Answer
You need to find one the voltage, current, and polarity/plug of the original.
They are usually 9 to 12V, and 750mA to 2A, positive center.

Is a portable DVD player necessary for traveling with a 2 year old?

I will be traveling with my 2 year old son soon. I don't have a portable DVD player yet but am thinking of buying one. Also what other toys or things should I take with me. The flight will be a 9 hour flight.

5 hours!?! Wow, and I thought 2 1/2 was bad! We recently learned that our 2 year old LOVES to watch movies on our lap-top. I think a portable DVD player would be perfect! Also take some coloring books and crayons and a small set of "Lego's". Be sure to take some books to read to him!
Good Luck and enjoy you trip! ;)
