UK Only. My elderly mother would like a new flat screen TV with not only Freeview built in but also a recorder so she can record easily with just one device. Is there combi TV on the market?

I was wondering if there is a device out there (maybe even a DVD player????) that can read CDs, the type you store pictures onto from the computer.

I have several pictures on my pc that my elderly mother can't see because she can't get upstairs to the PC. So was wondering if there's some kind of device I could keep down stairs, then just insert the CD so she could see the pics.

What you are looking for is a portabale DVD player that will play picture CDs. The files must be burnt to the CD in a jpeg (.jpg) format. Here are some links to portable DVD players that will play picture CDs.
