Portable dvd/cd player?

My portable dvd/cd player wont work..whats wrong is that its plugged in everything is okay and i can kind of hear the cd rotating but the is black on the screen even though it shows green light..no sund coming out of it..then the cd stops and there is nothing..what and how can i fix this?

Your battery should be good for at least 1 DVD, but if not, you might need an empower adapter. It also depends on your seat class, for example, on airbuses, virgin UK has power in First and Business class only, not coach. Go to www.seatguru.com and you can check out your specific seat.

Virgin UK uses Empower plugs on their aircraft, you can get an adapter at most travel stores for around $30.

Virgin US has standard US power plus, so if your device is 110v capable, you just might need a plug adapter. Note that power transformers (110-220) will not work on plane power usually..

will tv work on USA portable dvd player in UK?

i have a portable dvd player with a TV tuner that i bought in the USA i was wondering if i could watch TV in the UK with it.

In a word: no.

There are too many things that could've create anamoly on-screen, disregard the Region Code gaffe about DVDs I am talking about TV; tuner for one, is it tuned to go to British channels? This is probably OK since I have a Taiwanese tuner working wonderfully in Canada.

But next part is not OK, European TV signals use PAL but Taiwan/Japan/US/Canada use NTSC, even if you can hook them all up there would be picture anamoly as PAL signal going into a NTSC box the phase is all wrong. I am not aware of any PAL-NTSC phase shifter adapters.

Q. Also, can anyone recommend a twin screen portable DVD player for my car under £100 available in the UK?

DIVX is a type of file burned by some DVD burners. Like MP3, AAC, and WA are music files, DIVX is a DVD file.
I've got a Magnavox portable DVD that has been working for 5 years.

I need to buy a portable DVD player that will work in Bulgaria, which uses the European electrical plug, which is different from the UK plug. I cant find a European Electronics website where I can order it from. (Im in U.S. and searching only reveals UK websites.)
So I need some good electronics webstites that I can order from, and if they can deliver to the US that would be a plus.

I purchased a USB Slim Portable Optical Drive (it's an external DVD player) because my Samsung Netbook doesn't have an internal DVD player... I got the Optical Drive today and when I plug it into my computer a folder pops up but nothing in the folder downloads it onto the computer and I still can't watch movies or put music on my laptop... any suggestions?

Bought dvd player in UK
Checked with the store when it didn't work with region 1 and they just said to send it back as it was against the law for them to tell me how to decode it
