Will ge 5803p dvd show karaoke graphics?

I just purchased a GE Model 5803p dvd player from E Bay and was told by seller that it was tested
and showed only the track number and disk # but no graphics ! I know all jacks are correct because I have a small karaoke boom box type player which does show graphics when hooked up to tv. I also put a regular dvd movie in ge player and that played movie and sound correctly! I also forgot to say sound from karaoke cdg disk does play correctly and so doe mic .input in front of dvd player! I think I was informed wrong to what the dvd player could do,I will sell it to someone else if it doesn't work for my purpose but would work good for just movies or music and will play burned
mp3 format cd's!

CDG is not a video format and only DVD players that are designed to play CDG discs (multi-format karaoke disc players) will play them. The GE 5803p will not play CDG discs.

Your DVD player will play only DVD and VCD karaoke discs but not CDG discs which are the most popular type and offer the most song titles. Also your DVD player does not have mic inputs or features like digital key control. You would be much better off purchasing a multi-format karaoke disc player.
