Download VLC Player, link below.

What is a screen capture program for the Mac that is reliable and will actually work?

I need a screen capture program that will enable me to take and store images from the DVD player of my MacBook. I use a MacBook 2,1 with OS X 10.6.8. I had been using SnapNDrag, but since I upgraded my operating system it has been giving me nothing but screens full of grey and white checks every time I try to capture an image from a DVD. I tried switching to a program called DuckCapture but it did the same thing. So, is there a screen capture program that will work with the MacBook that I have, that will actually take and store an image from a DVD reliably?

Answer
Mac have its own screen capture app in the Utility Folder, its called Grab. Have you try it?
Also you can used the combination key - Command-Shift-3. The screen shot will be automatically saved as a PNG file on your desktop.
