I know that you can watch DVD movies on a netbook with Windows 7 Starter with the right codec and player like VLC. Can you also install software CD's too?

Why is there no audio when I burn a dvd using windows 7 media center?

The audio track is clear. The audio plays on the pc after it encodes, so the encode is good. When I burn to dvd, the audio is not there. I checked three separate dvd players without success. I checked filters in windows media burner, then unchecked them. I've ran out of disks, but I would really like to solve this issue. I need an answer before my aunts birthday (May 6th). I compiled several years of video for her.
