I have a 6oo watt MX 5600D Phillips 5 DVD player double bass twin subwoofer system. I just moved in and in my other place sound was not an issue.

Answer
Other than turning down the volume, either on the sub or receiver.

You can also just keep it away from walls. Especially if it is ported, point the port into the center of the room. That way the bass won't resonate off the wall, annoying your neighbors. Also make sure it isn't in a cabinet or something, that will help resonate the bass.

Which file formats are supported by Magnavox DVD players?

Q. I have a Magnavox 8.5 inch portable DVD player, and I was wondering what file formats are supported by it. For instance, if I wanted to burn pictures onto a disc and view them on my DVD player, which formats would be supported? Animated gifs? Jpeg? Bitmap? Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Just to be clear, I'm talking a CD-ROM disc, not a DVD.

Answer
It will greatly depend on the player. Your Owners manual will list all the formats that it supports. Note that if a format is not listed it most likely will not work. Home DVD players have come a long way but the portables don't offer as much. If you provide the model number we will check the formats for you.
