I live in the uk and i want to order a dvd from amazon that will be shipped from america. Will the dvd work in my normal dvd player or not?

but if you can bypass protection for the DVD Disc, and bacup it to another disc

No, it's not true. However, you can modify most DVD players by using the remote control and entering a string of numbers and key presses. The trick is to set the region code to 0 (zero).

Look up http://www.dvdcodes.net/ to find out if your DVD player can be modified.

PC DVD players / recorders can be modified by software. You will have to look up the model and search Google.
