I am recording audio from my dvd player in Adobe Audition. Only trouble is i cant hear at the same time to select which parts i want, I dont want to have to go through it all again, I need to get the clips in a hurry. Please help me out...

Record high quality video feed onto mac from dvd player?

What is the best way to take the video feed from a dvd player (red white and yellow audio/video cords - what are those cords called, anyway?) and save it as a high quality video file on a macbook laptop?
What free software there is for mac that would record this feed?
Would I need an analog to digital converter and if so, which one is best of the price?
Would a dvr work?

Mac already comes with imovie so all you need is a converter and you set.
