Why when i burn movies, it only plays on my computer and dvd player?

Q. What is a good software to burn movies that I can also play on my dvd player. I have dvd rw+ disc. what is a good program i can use. pls helpp. ty.

when i burn a movie from my digital camera onto a dvd (DVD+R) it will play on computers, but it wont play on dvd players? am i using the wrong cd or what?

You are using the right media, but the wrong encoding. DVD players can only read certain types of video and just because it's burned to a DVD disc, doesn't mean it's in the right format.
