Nero 7 to make a DVD?

Marco

I have some clips that I have compiled on Win Movie maker, but they are in .avi format, and I want to know how to use Nero 7 that I have to change it so that once I burn the video on a DVD-R it will be playable on DVD players. I went to Nero 7 then photos & videos, then where to nero recode. Where do I go frome here?

Answer
You need to use Nero Vision to burn the AVI files. You will also need to create the title menu for your new DVD.

Nero Recode is used for DVD's already in VOB format. It cannot be used for AVI files.

Good luck!

True you can't play external DVD video in Windows 7 Starter?

"You can play a DVD video disc on any version of Win 7. Just make sure that you have a good media player & the required codecs."

Seems reasonable but also contrary to both what I was told and the specs on Windows 7 Starter. Proof would be great.

Choppy Playback with Windows Media Center and Player?

Dustin

HELP! I am trying to rip my entire dvd collection to my computer for use with the Windows Media Center. I have ripped two movies so far, one with .wtv format and one with mp4 format. Both play perfectly with VLC player but are extremely choppy with WMC/WMP. I have updated my driver's on my dual video cards already. I have checked/changed every setting I can find in both Catalyst control center and windows media player to no avail. Please help!
I am running Win 7 64 bit, 16gb of memory, two AMD Radeon HD 7800 series video cards and a i7-3820 3.6Ghz processor.

Answer
Hello,

Update your Windows Media Player, directX and the sound driver. You can use RadarSYnc to automatically update the drivers in your computer. However, it might not work with Media Player and DirectX.

I hope this helps!

How do I fix a disc error?

I have a home made video of my son as a baby on a DVD+RW. I copied that to my laptop because I want to put it on a non RW disk. I burned the video from my comp to a DVD +R disc using windows explorer. I can play the video back on the new DVD+R using my laptop, however It won't play in my VCR/DVD so I can view it on my television. I keep getting a disc error message saying "Playback feature may not be available" and to eject the disc. So what went wrong as to why it won't play on my VCR/DVD player but it will play on my laptop and what can I do to get it to work on my VCR/DVD player?

More info: Disc- Maxell DVD+R
Burn speed 6X
Asus laptop with Win 7
VCR/DVD Brand: Pye Video, VHS and DVD combo PY90VG
Windows Explorer was used to copy the video files from the DVD+RW to the laptop and
then used to burn the video from the laptop to the DVD+R.
Also, the VCR/DVD player does work with other DVD's so it's not the player that is causing the problem as in I put the original DVD RW in and it played.

Answer
You need a right codex for your vcr/dvd. The vid you have may be an avi file for example. You may have to down load a converter or with win 7, I think windows player may be able to convert it.
