hello can anyone suggest a good burning software for avi files to dvd ive tried ashampoo but cant seem to convert it or do i have to convert it before burning ive also tried through media player etc.Im using windows 7 pro. Thanks, Kinger.

Standard DVD players read the .Vob format, the files you have now are in AVI format..

What is the very best multimedia player for Windows 7?

Q. Obviously, I have Windows Media Player 11, it's good, but only good. I also have Winamp, which is the BEST for a music Player, but it doesn't play DVDs. I'm looking for the VERY best Multimedia Player. And definitely not iTunes, the common uninformed bunch might tell you that iTunes is the best ever. But it's along those that use the most RAM, and that sucks. I need balance between features. (DVD player, Music player, Lyrics Finder, Format Converter, Online Capabilities, Low RAM requirements, etc.)

I know of the existence of Real Player, I have not YET tried it, if that's your suggestion then let's hear it. Tech specs would be appreciated as well!

I checked filters in windows media burner, then unchecked them. I've ran out of disks, but I would really like to solve this issue. I need an answer before my aunts birthday (May 6th). I compiled several years of video for her.

hello u need a good video capture deviceand a lot of time cause its very time consuming. u have to play them at real speed om the computer then they have too be converted too what format u choose and u need a good software!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm looking into getting a mini laptop, probably a VAIO W series or HP mini. They both come with Windows 7 Starter, but only 1 GB of RAM. Is that enough?

I would be adding MS Office to it, but other than that I would only be using Firefox, iTunes, and a DVD-player software.
I guess I'm asking if it would run fast or would it be sluggish? Like, is 1 GB the minimum or is it sufficiently enough?

for win 7 starter yes, but you are at the bare minimum so watch out if you are going to do some resource incentive stuff. Then again you aren't supposed to do much besides surf the web on a netbook.

I have an iso of windows 7 on my laptop (runnning osx snow leopard) and I am getting a new PC tomorrow with no OS so I want to make a bootable disc with the iso on my laptop that I can install onto the blank hard drive of my new PC... How can I do that, will simply burning the iso to a blank dvd disk work? Will that be bootable?

you can burn a iso of any os to dvd with cdburnerxp just check off associate iso in cdburnerxp settup then burn dvd and just put it into dvd player of new pc but let me tell you if this iso came from a torrent and isnt a legite copy the claims of it works i promise are severely exagerasted in the extreme because as soon as microsoft send the confirm signal you will end up with a unusable os that does nothing if you want a os free i suggest linux mint cinnamon worlds greatest linux for linux begginers just remember you get software from the software manager not the internet
