I need a good car DVD player.?

Margie

I want one that straps to the head rest. And preferable one that takes the DVDs instead of having a DVD player hooked up to it. Something reasonably priced (under $100) but decent quality.

Answer
Straps to the head rest?, most of these are more expensive than $100. You might want to take a look at this one that is mounted in the head rest

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Chameleon+-+7%22+Widescreen+LED-LCD+Headrest+Monitor/1179266.p?id=1218230520410&skuId=1179266

When you are looking, look for DVD Player, not DVD Monitor, the monitor uses a separate dvd player

what brand is good for a car dvd player?

Amanda

i want to get a dvd player in my car because i do a lot of driving, i want one that goes in the front seat where the radio is and it would be nice if it had gps and the radio with it im not sure what a good brand to get is thanks in advance

Answer
If you do a lot of driving, a DVD player is no good for you. An in dash player is only able to be used when parked, because many places have distracted driving laws. If you want a DVD player for your passengers, that is a different thing.

The major aftermarket audio manufacturers have in dash DVD players.

Anyone have experience on installing car CD/DVD players?

Turtle

I recently bought a brand new CD/DVD player from BestBuy for around $350. Instead of having it installed by BestBuy, I decided it would be better to get it done somewhere that specialized in car audio...WRONG! After the installation i was unable to pick up any radio stations, not a single one. I called to ask bout it and they replied saying that my CD/DVD was aftermarket and don't work as good, then suggested I by some antenna extension. Does anyone know if that is an honest problem, or just bad installation?

Additionally, when I hook up my ipod while driving theres a faint buzzing sound that gets louder the more I press the gas pedal. They also do not give refunds...of course.

Answer
Without an atenna adapter u may not get any.station in! Alot of cd player requires atenna adapter. And for the buzzing it sound like a wiring problem. If u can take the dash apart pull ur cd player out and see if there is an atenna adapter and see if all the wires r hooked up correctly if u need more help or info just email me at jeffgolombeski@gmail.com

Wireless Headphones For Car DVD Player!!!!?

Victoria

I have a car DVD Player. I was wondering what brand or type of wireless headphones I need? In order for my kids to listen to their movie well I listen to the radio. Thanks. Please only comment if you know the answer! 10 pionts to best answer!!!
I need wireless, because my car dvd player doesnt have earphone plug in. I also dont have a plug in on my radio.

Answer
Why does it need to be wireless?

In whatever case, the player will need to separately support DVD playing to headphones, and radio to speakers.

How do I bypass the warning on my car dvd player?

I bought a 2007 charger and I got my 2 year old son one of them jensen vm9312HD car dvd players and it wont play while the car is in motion. Can anyone help me to figure this out r tell me where to go for help? Thanks a million!

Answer
I had this same problem, if it plays when its parked then it has a little safety feature that involves a wire, maybe pink in color for your headunit that will only allow it to play when parked. Now if you splice it into the red or yellow, I'd choose red since its not constant, it will play movies anytime.

If it won't play them even when parked then it is not hooked up to a wire or its hooked up to ground and therefor should be hooked to a positive wire, red or yellow. If you didn't put it in yourself then you can take it to an audio shop, maybe check in phonebook for someone local.

But the easy way would be to use a bypass code since there is ojne for your hu. I copy these instructions from ecoustics.com

http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/...

The parking brake bypass procedure is as follows:

1: Go into AM/FM mode
2: Hit "setup" on the remote control
3: Enter 543210 on the remote, listening for the beep for each number entered
4: A new menu will appear. Touch the button that has the hammer/screwdriver on it in the upper left-hand part of the screen.
5: Select Brake bypass to "ON" and hit the "X" near the bottom of the screen.
6: Use the unit wisely and above all safely. A ticket is one thing, causing a fatal accident due to negligence is another.

I don't know if it really works but you could try it, if not use the wiring method above.
