How to program my RC010SR Marantz Remote to my DVD player?

best blu ray dvd player 3d on Best Blu-Ray Players for under $200
best blu ray dvd player 3d image

Chris

I don't have my user manual for my remote and am trying to program it to control my new 3d Samsung blu ray DVD player.

Answer
I have a RC 5500SR and I can't imagine that they are that much different:
Turn off the Samsung DVD player.
Press the function selector button for DVD and the SETUP button at the same time. Hold until the indicator light blinks twice. Enter the four digit code for the Samsung DVD player (see below). If it is the correct code the DVD player will turn on or will respond to the ON/OFF button on the Marantz remote when pressed. If not, repeat the above procedure with the next code on the list:
0517, 0600, 0847.

What type of HD cable do you need to connect from your blu-ray player to the TV?

Hot Chocol

I recently got a new HD TV and I already had a blu-ray DVD player, the installer told me to get an even better picture on my TV I should buy a "HD cable" to connect from my blu-ray player to my tv. What type of cable was he talking about and does it really make a lot of difference in picture quality?
Thanks!

Answer
HDMI cable which is used for High Definition. There are a couple of different HDMI cables, but the most important to remember is that a $100 cable and $30 one will show absolutely no difference, so don't get caught by those sellers trying to make you buy an HDMI cable for $100.

You can check here for more information on HDMI cables (there's versions 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI#Version_1.0_to_1.2

Generally, you'll want an HDMI 1.3, or if it's for 3D, you'll want 1.4. It usually is written on the box/bag which version it is.

HD DVD Player or Blu Ray DVD player better or the difference?

What is the difference between the two? Currently I have a Toshiba HDTV 1080 P DVD player. If I buy the blu ray DVD player, will it play my regular DVDs better than my DVD player now?

Answer
- Blu-ray discs are better quality than HD-DVD discs by a little. = No point in going with HD-DVD discs because they are not popular (it lost the format war against Blu-ray).
- Blu-ray discs are better quality than DVD discs by a lot.
- Blu-ray player can play both Blu-ray and DVD and CD discs (not sure about HD-DVD discs) = The Blu-ray player may have built in upscaling and picture enhancement settings too (for DVD discs).
- There is plenty of ways to get cheap Blu-ray movies/discs. = Example: Best buy usually has them at $3.99 or $5.99 or $7.99 or $9.99 (may come with a DVD digital copy or other features.ect) (best buy also has this option once in a while, you can get $5.00 off on Blu-ray movies for every DVD movie you give them). 3D Blu-ray movies are not that popular (not that many of them), but they cost around $20.

- DVD or Digital Versatile Disc or Digital Video Disc (DVD or DVD-Video): = Video Specifications: Codec is H.262/MPEG-2 Part 2, Resolution is up to NTSC 720x480 (345,600 pixels at 8 bits per color, 3:2 aspect ratio, 29.97p frames per second) OR Resolution is up to PAL/SECAM 720x576 (414,720 pixels at 8 bits per color, 5:4 aspect ratio, 25p frames per second), constant bitrates of 9.8 Mbps. OR It's capable of China Video Disc or Video Compact Disc. = Audio Specifications: Formats are PCM (at 6,144 kbps bitrate) or DTS (at 1,536/1,509 kbps or 768/754.5 kbps or 512 kbps constant bitrates) or Dolby Digital (at 448 kbps constant bitrate) or MP2 (at 384/160 kbps constant bitrate), up to 5.1 surround sound (or PCM at 7.1/16 bit/48 khz or DTS-ES Discrete extension at 6.1/16 bit/48 khz) and up to 24 bit depth and up to 48,000 hz sample rate (or PCM at 5.1/24 bit/96 khz or DTS 5.1/24 bit/96 khz extension), all formats support 2.0/24 bit/192 khz. = Capacity is 1.46 GB to 17.08 GB (4.7 GB SS-SL or 8.54 GB SS-DL being common capacity).

What webcams are compatible with Panasonic Skype enabled DVD players?

Arwyn

I recently purchased a Panasonic DMP-BDT210 Integrated-Wi-Fi 3D Blu-ray DVD Player with Skype, and my current webcam does not connect. It is an older Logitech (round) but not sure what kind. Do I need a specific TV webcam or am I simply not connecting properly or missing a step? The manual does not give any information on what kinds of cameras it is compatible with. I am not very tech savvy in this department so any help would be great!

Answer
See if you can update your webcam driver so it is compatible. If not, try this software because I have had a lot of success with this driver working.

How long did your Blu ray work?

Johnny

My father-in-laws 2 year old Panasonic Blu Ray 3D DVD player isn't working, we tried about 5 Blu Ray dvd's and the machine can't read them. The regular dvd's played fine so I took it apart and removed they drive to see if I could clean it. I cleaned the lens with alcohol and a Q-tip put it back together and had the same response . I went out and bought a Blu Ray dvd lens cleaner and still it can't read the dvd's. I found a replacement drive VXY2094 for it but a new player cost about the same.
Is that the life of a Blu Ray dvd player, 2 year?

Answer
It doesn't seem off. Lasers do wear out. They aren't forever.

I just got a 55inch led samsung 3d just wondering how do youuse tv speakers while using surround sound?

Nicholas

I got a 55 inch samsung 3d tv from coscto.i got the panosonic surround speakers with panosonic blu ray DVD player I hooked it all up I play it on a DVD it works great but then tv speakers are like off can I turn them on? How? Thanks.

Answer
Generally NO the movie is playing through the Home theatre unit therefore all of thre channels are being used to produce sound through your speaker set-up. Tv speakers are only going to be used when your watching something that is not going through the receiver unit. So you have probably noticed when your not watching a DVD and only tv that you are getting the sound through tv speakers this is normal. If you wanted tv speakers to work why did you get a home theatre set-up?.
