Tips for buying a DVD player?

curious ca

I'm looking to buy a relatively cheap DVD player (under $100). What are some of the features I should look out for? For instance, I like watching foreign films and stuff(foreign made discs)--so should get a multi-regional specific one or are they all universal now? Is it worth it to spend a few extra bucks on a player/recorder? I have a RCA TV connected through a cable box. Any suggestions, or favorites?

thanks

Answer
Buying cheap DVD player will save you money and they are the same with other branded names DVD player. Sometimes cheap DVD player is much better and have some extra features compare to the expensive player. Most of the cheap DVD player are multi region so you can watched any kind of DVD. If you have an extra RCA input on your TV you can connect the DVD player, but if you don't have extra you can used the RCA input from your cable box. Most of the cable box nowadays have an extra RCA input. The worst scenario is using an RF converter so that you can used the TV RF antenna.
