Can you convert any file size to a DVD?

Gabriel

I have a big file size on a video and I just want to make sure if I can upload it and burn it right.

Answer
No. That would be like Yao Ming putting on my shoes.
A DVD holds 4.6GB. You have a "big" file. Of course, I know exactly what size that is.... NOT.

Check the size of the file.

Although you can use various video converters to change the file type, and thus reduce the file size, that will cause a noticeable loss of image quality, so a better option would be to split the file into two or more parts and put the parts on different DVDs.

To make a "data DVD" (only works in a computer, and only plays using movie player software, such as QuicvkTime Player), drag the file to the DVD icon, right-click the DVD icon, and choose "Burn".

To make a DVD movie disc (plays in DVD playing software or in a set-top DVD player through your TV), here are the best options:

-- For Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional, or Ultimate, use Windows DVD Maker, link below.

-- For pre-2011 model Macs, it came with iDVD (which happens to be discontinued now). Use it. iMovie is the app that came with your Mac for editing movies. Then it has an option to Export to iDVD, which has a Help menu, and if that doesn't answer all your questions, use support.apple.com for "iDVD menus" or whatever your question is about.

-- For newer Macs, use DVDStyler. It is a free (not a demo / trial) open-source alternative to iDVD for Intel Macs. It has most of the same options as iDVD, but not as many cool themes.
