Ok, I have a 60" Sony HDTV Rear Projection I think the KDS series. I have a Pioneer Elite VSX-9* series receiver since my house is wired for surround round and speakers throughout and this receiver I thought was good for multi-room control. My DVD player is just a standard upconvert Toshiba and it's hooked up via an HDMI cable. I'm pretty sure I know how to hook up the Bose to the receiver since it's all just plug-n-play but i'll figure it out. These Bose speakers will be ceiling mounted via Bose brackets and the walls are already pre-wired with the little wall plate that i can use the banana plugs to attach the wiring.
My question is what is the most efficient way to hook this up together (DVD HDMI to receiver, etc.)? I'm sure I don't know what I'm doing (Bose haters don't comment please, lol) to put together the best setup but now you know what I'm working with. Thanks for any advice.

Okay, no comments on the BOSE speakers from me.
;-)
But the 9* series from Pioneer all support audio through HDMI, so you should go from your DVD to receiver, from your cable box to receiver, then let your receiver switch the video for you.
The VSX-92TX has three HDMI inputs, so you can add a DVD player, Blu-ray Player and HD receiver all to the receiver and assign the digital inputs.
The VSX-94 has 4 in and the 91 has 2 in.
If you go through the TV first and then to the receiver, chances are you will not be able to select the dts tracks on your DVD's, which are ususally the better audio option.

I'm looking for one for my daughter to watch but they all seem ridiculously overpriced ($800-2000).
Answer
Buy a Chinese brand so that will cost you some 100 to 125 USD it is best quality and best resolution, even it is cheap so even if gets damage you can just throw it and buy a new one.
