What video game system should I get?

This is going to sound really weird but out of Nintendo, Playstation, and Microsoft, which one is going to stay popular the longest? I am starting to hold off the idea of purchasing a Nintendo Wii due to the fact it almost seems like a nice secondary system to have. Not so much like when it was just N64 and Playstation. Any good ideas? Specs would also be nice.

PS3 Is free online play and a blu-ray player and the past has proven it's more "durable" meaning not to many problems such as red ring of death

Xbox 360 has a better online system and thats all i know that is better about it.

Wii is more about game play and has alot of family and mini game type games.

playstation home: sony's 3d chatroom allows youto customize an avatar and roam around a vast open hub where you can meet other gamers, watch videos, play arcade games, or bowl, even visit areas, based on your favorite games, called gamespaces.
built inwireless network card
remote play using PSP: access music, videos, picures, basically anything except games themselves from your PS3, usng your PSP. sometimes though, it works in reverse. example:

assassin's creed bloodlines psp: weapons from felled bosses can be used by ezio in assasin's creed 2
or
gran turismo psp, any upgraded or unlocked cars can be ported from the PSP into gran turismo 5 for PS3.

we can shout about who has the best games. it's all personal opinion. and though game reviews aren't necessarily the end all be all, scores from mostly biased 3rd party critics are helpful in showing the quality of content on a system. it's true that the 360 has more games. what you don't hear, is that(like the wii) a good 50-60% of them aren't even worth looking at in a rental store.

as far as the online bickering goes. i dont have to pay to play my friends. maybe i dont get all the cool stuff from live. but i dont need that stuff to play MAG or uncharted multiplayer with my friends.
