best dvd player vcr combo image

As I wrote above, My DVD player has begun involuntarily opening and shutting from time to time. Sometimes (less frequently) it switches from VCR mode to DVD mode involuntarily as well. I think my neighbor might have a remote that is interfering with its signal. It is an Insignia DVD/VCR Combo. If it were a neighbor's remote how should I keep it from interfering with my DVD player? Thanks!!

Well first off, IR or Infared signals can't go through walls. Also, I doubt your Ingsignia DVD/VCR combo player would have the same signal code as your neighbors,
Your DVD/VCR sounds like it's broken. Electronics in many cases which stop working correctly or even at all even years after you bought it.
Since it's a DVD/VCR combo I assume it's past it's manufacturer warranty which means you'd have to get it repaired out of your pocket.
It sounds like you will have to buy a new or used video player since the cost of repair would most likely cost more than it's worth.

Ive been searching for codes to enter for these models but havent been able to find them.
Our portable DVD player is a RCA DRC6327E
and our DVD VCR combo is a
Phillips DVP3340V

You have a limited number of changes before the last one is locked in forever.
You are better off downloading DVDFab HD DVD Decrypter and making "Legal Back Up Copies" of your DVD's.
That free program makes the DVD's region-free.
You "Crack" the DVD to your hard drive, then use DVD Shrink to make it 4.7gb, then you use your DVD Burner Software to make a copy.
You can find out more on how to do this at http://www.videohelp.com
At least then, you don't have to worry about region codes OR scratching or losing your expensive DVD's since your origional, purchased copies are at home, safe and sound.
