Most UK dvds are region locked to region 2 PAL and will not play. All Warner dvds though are region 0 so UK Warner dvds will play on a US dvd player.

Giving which type of dvd player you have, most are easy to be made region free simply by Googling the make & model number and asking how to. Most players are easy to unlock :)

So, if they can be bought at this sort of price from a catalogue - check somewhere like ASDA/CURRY'S - maybe even cheaper - just remember to buy one with a decent sized screen - no point buying one with less than a 12" screen .
