I want to put my laptop in my car and attach it to the front seats so my kids can watch DVD movies when we travel any amount of distance.

Is there any such product on the market?

Please dont reply telling me to buy a portable DVD player DVD player for the car!

Answer
using computer in the car is not always advisable as computer is very delicate to handle even if there is a good harness for that. just bear in mind if the road is so curvy, lot of holes, mountainous, rugged, etc.
if i were you, better buy a car navigator (GPS) that is equipped with DVD player, CD/CD-R player/MP3 player; HDD; ducking connectors such as iPod or portable players; with ducking connector for cellphone to check calls/emails on the main screen; and the like. though it's a bit expensive, but i guess it's more better and you don't need to attach and detach it anymore like of computer.
(mine cost for about $3,500dollars) but with lot more features aside from what i had mentioned above.
at any rate, there are lot of car harness depending on what type you want. check it either in car dealer shops or over the car shops.

Any suggestion for a portable DVD player for the car that allows game system hookup?

Would prefer a portable DVD system with dual screens, and would like to have it with a battery. I saw a perfect one by Venturer, an 8.4" dual screen system, but can't find it at any store online or otherwise. I tried to email Venturer, and message failed. I am at a loss for what other system might work. We want to take on a long road trip and let the kids hook up their game system for the hours on the road.

Answer
I only found the 9 inch. It does all the same as the 8, but the reviews on it were lousy.
Everyone had problems with the latch on the door cover of the DVD.

Here is another dual player. I don't know what your budget is but this will do the same. Reviews are 83% positive
Good Luck!

How do I attach a DVD/VCR player to a Sony Wega TV?

I have a 19" Sony Wega, about 6 years old. Having trouble attaching Panasonic DVD/VCR player to it. TV has 3 plugs in
front (audio/mono/video) which I've tried. The back has 8 colored plug spots.

Answer
You can hook up your DVD/VCR using the Red/White/Yellow jacks to the back of your TV with a cable that looks like this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:RCA_Connector_(photo).jpg
Red/White - Stereo Audio
Yellow - Video
Make sure you hook it up to the corresponding colored jacks.

Hook it up to either the AV1 or AV2 section in the back of your TV. This will allow both the DVD and the VCR to play on your TV.

You may see some colored jacks on the back of your TV and DVD/VCR that looks like this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Component_video_jack.jpg
This connection uses these video cables:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Component_video_RCA.jpg
This is a component video connection that offers a higher resolution and can also be used but may only allow the DVD portion of your player to send video to the TV as the VCR portion might not support component video. You would have to have the yellow video cable (called a composite cable) hooked up to the TV as well in order to watch VHS videos.

The simplest solution to your problem right now is to just use the Red/White/Yellow AV cables to connect your DVD/VCR to the back of your TV.
